The Full Story
Rhonda Curtis, aka Grandma Ra Ra, was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on June 19th. When she was 21, she devoted her life to Christ and was baptized. And this is where Rhonda’s journey began.
In 1981, Rhonda visited the Rocky Mountains for the first time, and loved it so much, she stayed. She settled in Arvada, Colorado, close to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and got a job with CoorsTek in Golden, Colorado, and later had her children Shane and Tracie. Years later, Shane married a lovely young lady named Kelley and together they had three boys, Jonathan, Mason, and Blade. Her daughter Tracie had four children, Alexis, Jordan, Ni`~emah Jazzera & Travion on 2.1.2014
In 1998, Rhonda met Mark Curtis and a few years later, married this man she considers her best friend. In her second marriage, Rhonda gained 4 more children (Bryan, Alaina, Steven, and Sarah, plus spouses and 6 more grandchildren (Riella, Sydney, Amaya, Devyn, Curtis, and Nathan). These wonderful grandchildren called Rhonda “Grandma Rara.”
Rhonda felt so blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren that she needed to share her love with children around the world. In 2003 she began sewing special blankets, which she called Blankys, with the intention of giving them to needy children.
Since then Grandma RaRa has traveled around the world to share her love and special Blankys with diverse children.
